Vehicles post 1998,
generally Subaru Impreza with newer
style dash & airbags, are equipped with an 16 Pin OBD2 diagnostics
port located under the drivers side dash compartment. From this,
the car's ECU can be accessed to perform various tuning tasks
and diagnostics.
We can carry out diagnostics on your car, and repair accordingly.
If the CEL (check Engine Light) has illuminated on your dashboard,
we can find the fault for you, repair and reset
the ECU.
Using the latest software, we can perform diagnostic checks, read
trouble codes, reset ECU's and monitor live data.
The diagnostic procedure
also checks the running of your vehicle in
real time, and will pick up any trouble codes stored in your ECU,
the live data can be monitored to see how the engine is performing,
this will reveal, among other features, knock correction, mass air flow, manifold
pressure, air/fuel correction, plus many more characteristics. This software
also allows us to increase or decrease idle speed, either in normal conditions,
or for just when the aircon is set, as this can affect the way your car can idle
when in operation.
Only Impreza's MY98
onwards fitted with the OBD2 diagnostics port are available
for this service to be carried out. We do not undertake full re-maps..

Diagnostics - Subaru Impreza MY93-98
Vehicles pre OBD2 (Impreza
MY93-98), also have a
diagnostics connector under the drivers side Dash
panel, this is in the form of a yellow ISO 9-pin
connector which can give similar results as OBD2
software, but at a lesser scale.
We also carry out Diagnostics on earlier Subaru
Impreza’s / Legacy, U.K or Jap Import vehicles,
the Subaru Select Monitor is widely used by main
dealers for fault finding, our laptop based
diagnostics software, HiDash, can monitor the
same characteristics as the dealers hand held
device can, and more. HiDash can not only read
live data, but also digital parameters, operation
of solenoids, relays, fans and switches, plus
simultaneous live graphing data.
By using the latest version of HiDash diagnostic
software, up to 17 parameters can be monitored
and logged, giving a live data read out. These are
useful for fault finding and tuning, and with the
aid of live data graphing, for comparing multiple
statistics of your engines performance.
If your check engine light
has illuminated, or the
car has encountered a problem, we can run a fault
test to see what error code has been stored in the Ecu.
The trouble code can be sourced and fixed accordingly,
and the memory can then be cleared and the ECU re-set.

HiDash is a diagnostic software platform aimed as a
PC / Laptop alternate
to the main dealers hand held Subaru Select Monitor. Although not as advanced
as OBDII compliant software, this ISO port based diagnostic tool is all you
need for the earlier type Impreza upto 1998.
You can perform relay and solonoid checks from the desktop, monitor engine
performance, view live data graphs and even 0-60 1/4 mile performance.

Recommended Subaru Mobile Mapping
Fully mobile Subaru Impreza and Forester ecu
tuning & remapping. Based in Cambridgshire but able to travel
to wherever within the UK to remap either single cars or groups of cars within a day
(where 3+ cars are
mapped there will be no mileage charged).
Typically the imprezas that are remapped
will have had some modifications such as decat exhausts & air
filters (or a lot of modifications
in some cases) but this isn’t essential as the std car can be mapped for greater
power, safety and economy
without the need to spend large sums of money making it happen.
